Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to this weeks' weekend preview. Last week we had 5 tips winning out of 9 and some good predictions also.
This week, we have 8 Premier league matches, with tips, predictions and form advice to read through and possibly bet on. Good luck all.
Aston Villa vs Fulham
Saturday 3rd May 12.30
Form - Villa have been fantastic lately. They have won 4 out of their last 5 matches in pursuit of European football.
Fulham have had a fantastic season, but their performance has slipped lately. They have 2 wins and 3 losses from their last 5.
The head to head could not be more one sided. Villa have won the last 4 matches between the two and are definitely favourites to make it 5.
Tip - Ollie Watkins score anytime @ 21/20
Although Watkins has been dropped a few times lately in favour of Rashford. The injury of the on loan United man means Ollie should be back in the starting line up.
Fulham have been incredibly inconsistent lately. Seemingly having an all or nothing mentality with barely a draw in sight. This for me will play right into Aston Villa's hands; who have a great midfield and attacking line. Which could see them dominate the match.
Prediction - Aston Villa 2-0 Fulham
Everton vs Ipswich Town
Saturday 3rd May 15.00
Form - The form of both sides has been pretty poor of late. Both sides have identical recent results with 1 win, 1 draw and 3 losses each.
The head to head comparison is useless because they've only played once in 23 years. The points went the way of the Liverpool based side.
Tip - Everton to win @ 12/25
Although neither side have been great lately, Everton have been pretty solid and very tough to beat at home. The odds aren't fantastic but will look great if it's a comfortable home win.
Both teams have very little to play for coming to the end of the season. This should mean much more freedom to play. Hopefully making the game open and exciting for all fans watching. A home win by a small margin is our prediction this week.
Prediction - Everton 2-1 Ipswich
Leicester vs Southampton
Saturday 3rd May 15.00
Form - we next have the two lowest points scorers and least in form teams in the league. Neither side have had a win in their last 5 matches, with plenty of losses each.
The head to head record reads positively for the Foxes, they have won 3 of the last 4 times the sides have met.
Tip - Both teams to score @ 8/13
Both teams have had dreadful defensives this season. This could easily see both sides nicking a goal or two.
Leicester are playing the only side having a worse season than themselves. They do however still have the talent to take teams apart. Vardy will want to put on a show in the last few weeks as he looks for pastures new at the end of the season. On his day he is still formidable and he could be the difference maker this weekend.
Prediction - Leicester 2-1 Southampton
Arsenal vs Bournemouth
Saturday 3rd May 17.30
Form - Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 5, winning 2 and drawing 3 respectively. Bournemouth have only lost 1 in their last 5, but have found wins hard to come by. They have only 1 win and 3 draws which is poor for the Cherries.
The head to head does favour Arsenal overral, but Bournemouth did win the last match between the sides, albeit at home rather than at the Emirates.
Tip - Saka score or assist @ 4/5
Since Saka's return from injury he has been as good as ever. His scoring and assisting record this season has been amazing given the injury. With the Arsenal winger also on corners and penalties, the odds look very good.
Bournemouth have stuttered lately finding wins very hard to come by. They still seem to have no issues finding a goal or two though.
Arsenal will probably rest a few players before their second leg against PSG. The home side have been brilliant at the Emirates and with the crowd behind them I can see a narrow home win.
Prediction - Arsenal 2-1 Bournemouth
Brentford vs Man United
Sunday 4th May 14.00
Form - Brentford have 2 wins and 2 draws in their last 5 matches. Perfectly showing that they are a very hit and miss team.
Man United have only seen poor results lately, they don't have a win in their last 5 with 3 losses as well. United have the better of the results within their last 4 head to heads. They have won 3 from the last 4.
Tip - Both teams to score @ 7/10
Brentford have amazing attacking talents, with mainstays like Wissa and Mbeumo performing as well as they always seem too.
United have struggled for goals throughout the season. But Fernandes has been amazing whether it be in England or Europe. Both can definitely find the back of the net.
United could easily be resting a few players before their second leg in Europe. But Brentford still have slim hopes of European football. They also have won their last 2, so a home win seems more than probable.
Prediction - Brentford 2-1 Man United
Brighton vs Newcastle
Sunday 4th May 14.00
Form - Disregarding Brighton's last minute winner against West Ham they have been very average lately. 1 solitary win in their last 5 with 3 losses.
Newcastle have a fantastic record lately. They have won 4 out of their last 5, and are one of the in form teams in the whole division.
In the recent head to heads, Brighton have won 3 of the last 4 games.
Tip - Newcastle or draw @ 2/5
With Newcastle's recent amazing form it's almost impossible to back them to lose. The odds on an away win or draw are surprisingly good.
Brighton play fantastic attacking football with many players in their squad, who could play much higher in the league and Europe.
Newcastle are finally producing performances and results that could see the side reach the heights their fans and new owners dream of. The away side are very hard to look past this weekend. Both to score and a Magpies win is what it will be backing.
Prediction - Brighton 1-3 Newcastle
West Ham vs Tottenham Hotspur
Sunday 4th May 14.00
Form - West Ham's form this season has been torrid. Another 5 matches have gone by with no wins the speak of.
Tottenham fans have had just as much disappointment in the league. Spurs have only 1 win and 4 losses in their last 5.
Both sides have won bragging rights in the recent head to heads. Looking at the recent record gives no clarity on where the points will go this week.
Tip - over 2.5 goals @ 4/7
One place both sides have been distinctly average this season is in defence. This paired with the fact Spurs may be resting players could mean plenty of goals in the tie.
With West Ham seemingly unable to bank a win even if they actually score. Combine that with Spurs being able to win the odd match but never keeping a clean sheet.
This means you have an away win with both teams scoring if the match follows the trend set.
Prediction - West Ham 2-3 Tottenham
Chelsea vs Liverpool
Sunday 4th May 16.30
We end this weeks preview with two form sides meeting at Stamford Bridge.
Form - Chelsea have found their way back into the Champion's league conversation. They haven't lost in 5 matches, winning 3 and drawing the other 2.
Liverpool have been as good as they have all season in the last 5. They have 1 loss in an otherwise imperious run winning the other 4 with ease.
The head to head record doesn't make for good reading if you are a Blues fan. Liverpool have won the last 3 while Chelsea don't have a win the speak of in the last 5 meetings.
Tip - Liverpool or draw @ 7/10
Seeing the recent head to head outcomes, pair that with Liverpool winning the title they should be in a buoyant mood. The double chance looks a relatively safe bet at good odds.
Liverpool and Slot have stated there will be some squad rotation in the coming weeks. However, that doesn't mean the side are necessarily weaker in my opinion.
Chelsea are desperate to keep their recent good run going. This added pressure could easily see them leaving themselves open to a red sucker punch.
A team just crowned Champions with the shackles off could be a very dangerous animal this week. An away win is our pick at great odds too if you go for the outright victory.
Prediction - Chelsea 1-3 Liverpool
